For the rest of this month I'll be painting in Estes Park Colorado. Last year this 12"x16" painting won the best of show Estes Park 2009. This event will be hosted by the Cultural Arts Council of Estes Park. “When I begin to paint I feel that I’m coming back home again. As a child in the San Diego County town of Jamul, I would marvel at the beautiful bluish mountains on the border of Mexico. Today, as a Sonoma County artist, I still maintain the thrill of discovering color and light in my ever-changing surroundings. Depending on what I want to explore at the time, my thick paint strokes may be loose or tight. My impressionist oil paintings show my passion as I paint on location (en Plein Air).
